Fork Rebuilds
Due to your forks location, they can take a lot of abuse! A full fork service at Damping Dynamics isn't just an oil change and fresh seals, we strip each fork down to its individual shims, resurface the piston faces, check every part for wear and damage, then re-assembled using new seals (always) and bushings (if required). Fork tubes are checked for straightness, as well as pitting. Any light pitting can will be removed by polishing if necessary. We only use high quality NOK or OEM seals for our rebuilds.
Piston Kits
Did you know your stock suspension can be modified for track or fast road use? While complete new aftermarket forks/shocks will give give the best improvements, K-Tech piston kits are available for many OEM suspension units. These provide better damping characteristics than stock suspension and will make your bike perform better, especially on the track. Contact us for more info on availability and pricing.
Shock Rebuilds
Most riders will change their fork oil/seals at some point but what about your shock? It's exposed to similar conditions and contains less oil, so has even more potential for degradation. Like our fork rebuilds, a Damping Dynamics shock rebuild means all components will be stripped, down to the individual shims. The piston face will be resurfaced and every part checked for wear/damage. A new guide bush, oil seal and dust seal are installed before the shock is reassembled and pressurised with Nitrogen gas.
Steering Damper Rebuilds
Many sportsbike riders have aftermarket steering dampers. We can rebuild these units and each service includes new shaft guide bushes, oil seals and replacement reservoir foam. As these dampers are very sensitive to trapped air, it's essential to use a vacuum bleeder to ensure they're completely full of oil during assembly. Luckily we have a vacuum bleeding facility and your damper will be returned to you free of any air! Setups
We will soon be offering a ride in-ride-out suspension setup service for all makes and models. Any suspension rebuilds already ship back to the customer with suggested basic settings pre-set, along with a settings sheet for future reference.
